Agricultural Commissioner

Agricultural Commissioner – Agriculture Programs Fee Schedule
The Agriculture division conducts environmental, consumer, and special services programs to monitor and protect the public. Programs include pest detection, pest management, and pest prevention; phytosanitary certification of commodities for export; pesticide use enforcement; quarantine enforcement; inspections of seeds, nurseries, eggs, and apiaries; fruit and vegetable quality standards; crop statistics and registration; and certification of organic producers and handlers.

Agricultural Commissioner – Weights & Measures Fee Schedule
The Weights and Measures division is responsible for verifying the accuracy of weighing and measuring devices, transaction verification, quantity control of prepackaged commodities, weighmaster enforcement, and petroleum products enforcement. The unit conducts investigations into consumer complaints along with annual certification of registered scales and measuring devices throughout the County.

Assessor

Assessor Fee Schedule - The schedule includes the new Williamson Act Appplication Fee, Community Reports, Countywide Reports, Custom reports, Copies and Screen Prints, Change of Ownership, Miscellaneous Fees, and Professional Services and Research Rates. In all cases, payment of all fees indicated on the page must be received by the Assessor's Office before requested data is compiled and/or released. Cannabis Business Permit Info

LiveScan Process for Commercial Cannabis Operators - All owners and persons having a twenty percent (20%) or more financial interest must submit fingerprints and other necessary information for a criminal background check conducted by any entity authorized by the California Department of Justice to perform Live Scan fingerprinting services. Applicants can have their LiveScan conducted in one of two ways as outlined in the document.

RES 21-199 - Adopt Resolution to Amend Master Fee Resolution - a. Approve and Adopt a Resolution amending Article VIII of the Master Fee Resolution, to authorize removal of overdue library fines, and adjust fees pursuant to the attached Fee Schedule relating to services provided by the Monterey County Free Libraries, effective January 1, 2022. b.Approve the Library Director or her/his Designee in forgiving all outstanding overdue fines. The outstanding fines that are being requested to be forgiven is in the amount of $155,953.20.

Recorder Fee Schedule (revised 03/03/2026) - The schedule includes Documents Paying A Documentary Transfer Tax, Documents NOT Paying A Documentary Transfer Tax*, Map Filing Fee, Financial Statements, Vital Record Fees, and Miscellaneous Fees. PLEASE NOTE: Effective March 3, 2026, the Real Estate Fraud Prosecution Fund fee incorporated in your standard recording fee will increase from $9.00 to $10.00. What this means is that the total standard recording fee will change from $22.00 per title to $23.00 per title.
