    CalWORKs Housing Support Program (HSP)

Finding affordable housing is a significant barrier for many struggling families in our community. They cannot begin to deal with other challenges in their lives, such as finding a job to provide food and basic necessities for their children when they don’t have a safe, stable home. The CalWORKs Housing Support Program allows us to meet a homeless family’s immediate need for housing, giving them an opportunity to start rebuilding their lives.

In Monterey County the demand exceeds the available resources. There are several families waiting for housing support and the list grows each day. The Program has served 650 families, including 1300+ children.
