CVR Laureles Grade Roundabout

CARMEL VALLEY ROAD and LAURELES GRADE ROUNDABOUT PROJECT

The Carmel Valley Road and Laureles Grade Roundabout project is to enhance pedestrian safety and reduce serious collisions at the intersection of Carmel Valley Road and Laureles Grade in Carmel Valley. This project will replace the existing stop-controlled intersection with a modern roundabout, improving traffic flow and overall safety.

Elkhorn Road Rehabilitation

ELKHORN ROAD REHABILITATION, PROJECT NO. 1155

The project is to rehabilitate Elkhorn Road, from just north of Walker Valley Rd to Salinas Rd, near the community of Pajaro. In general, the project consists of placing hot-mix-asphalt overlay, including but not limited to removal and placement of pavement delineation, pavement repair, cold-planing of existing pavement, survey monuments, clearing and grubbing, and traffic control.

Salinas Road Pajaro Project 1175

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The general work description for the “SALINAS ROAD AND PAJARO PROJECT” is:
To enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce collisions along the corridor, the study identified several multimodal improvements for the G12 segment from the Pajaro River Bridge along Porter Drive and Salinas Road to just south of Railroad Avenue in unincorporated Pajaro. These countermeasures include, but are not limited to installing 5‑foot Class II bike lanes with 3‑foot buffers where feasible within Pajaro, constructing 5‑foot sidewalks to fill gaps in the pedestrian network between Railroad Avenue and San Juan Road and installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at existing mid‑block crossings south of Bishop Street. This project also includes a slurry seal pavement treatment and new, refreshed pavement markings. Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Construction Plans, Standard Specifications, Standard Plans, or these Special Provisions, shall be performed, placed, constructed, and/or installed.

Viejo Road Emergency Storm Damage, Project 621095C

VIEJO ROAD EMERGENCY STORM DAMAGE, PROJECT NO. 621095C

The project is to repair a section of Viejo Road damaged during a major storm event. The project is located near the City of Monterey. In general, the project consists of roadway excavation, drainage and culvert work, placement of rock slope protection, clearing and grubbing, hot-asphalt-mix paving and traffic control.

PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS AT RANCHO TIERRA GRANDE (CSA 17)

The project consists of repairing existing roadway pavement within the Rancho Tierra Grande subdivision by performing a grind and inlay of new hot mix asphalt pavement and repairing damaged sections of concrete gutters. The rehabilitated roadways will be re-striped per the latest Caltrans requirements.

LAS LOMAS DRIVE BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN LANE PROJECT

Work consists of constructing and widening of Las Lomas Drive from Hall Road to Thomas Road, including but not limited to clearing and grubbing, traffic control, excavation and backfill, storm drain pipe installation, retaining walls, drainage system, curb and gutter and sidewalks, bioretention facilities and pavement.

CARMEL VALLEY ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT

The project is to resurface Carmel Valley Road, from Via Del Cinco to Miramonte Road, near Carmel Valley. The work, in general, consists of resurfacing the existing pavement with asphalt rubber and micro-surfacing, including but not limited to localized pavement repair with hot-mix-asphalt, removal and placement of pavement delineation, cold plane asphalt concrete, clearing and grubbing, and traffic control.

HITCHCOCK ROAD & FOSTER ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT

The project is to reconstruct Hitchcock Road (from Davis Road to State Route 68) and Foster Road (from Davis Road to State Route 68), near the City of Salinas. The work, in general, consists of performing full depth recycling (full depth reclamation) of the existing asphalt pavement and placing hot mix asphalt concrete overlay, including but not limited to micro milling, pavement delineation, adjustment of frame and cover to grade, clearing and grubbing, and traffic control.

ALISAL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION

The project is to reconstruct Alisal Road, from Salinas City Limit to Hartnell Road, near the City of Salinas.

The work, in general, consists of performing full depth recycling (full depth reclamation) of the existing asphalt pavement and placing hot mix asphalt concrete overlay, including but not limited to drainage work, micro milling, pavement delineation, adjustment of frame and cover to grade, clearing and grubbing, and traffic control.
