Rifle & Pistol Range at Laguna Seca

Laguna Seca Rifle & Pistol Range will be closed,

Friday, January 16, 2026 through Monday, January 19, 2026. 

County of Monterey’s Laguna Seca Rifle and Pistol Range is part of the Laguna Seca Recreation Area, located on the former Fort Ord property adjacent to the WeatherTech® Raceway at Laguna Seca. The range is open to the public on a first come first served basis; no reservations are taken. The range offers paper and steel targets and is open to handguns, rifles, and shotguns.

All shooters and spectators must sign a liability-waiver located at the Range Office. Those under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign the liability waiver for them.

• Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on the range premises. 
• Children aged 6 and older are permitted to fire rifles.
• Children 14 years of age and older are permitted to fire handguns.

All children must be supervised by their parent or legal guardian while firing or observing at the Range.

The Rifle and Pistol Range is open to the public from 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. on the days listed below:

            Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Christmas Day and New Years Day

The Range is closed during major events at WeatherTech® Raceway at Laguna Seca, and may close without advance notice at the discretion of the County.
