Branch History
Buena Vista originally began as a settlement and railroad station on the Buena Vista Branch of the Pajaro Valley Consolidated Railroad. It was the final station on this line and was named after Rancho Buena Vista. Buena Vista is located 6 miles southeast of Spreckels.
The Buena Vista Branch serves the communities of Spreckels, Indian Springs, and Toro Park. The library is a collaborative effort with the school district, built as a joint-use library on the grounds of the middle school. It offers services not only to students but also to the surrounding community.
