Q: Can I pay fines and fees online?
A: Library fees may be paid online at www.emcfl.org using a valid debit or credit card. There will be a minimum service fee charge of $1.95 for every transaction paid using a debit or credit card. For higher amounts, and depending on the type of card used, the service fee may be higher. If you wish to avoid the minimum fees, you are welcome to visit the Circulation Desk at your local library and make your payment by cash or check. Debit/Credit card payments will not be accepted at the Circulation Desk.
Q: How many items can I borrow at one time?
A: There is no limit to the amount of items you can borrow at one time if the account is in good standing.

Q: How do I get an Aquarium pass?
A: Monterey Bay Aquarium joins Museums for All beginning May 27, 2024, providing free admission to anyone enrolled in federal food assistance benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as CalFresh in California. Qualifying persons receive complimentary entry for up to four people with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and matching ID. For more information, click here.
Q: How do I recheck my items out?
A: Items are automatically renewed 1 time if there is not a hold on an item. If you wish to check the item out for a second time, please Check My Account or call or visit your nearest MCFL Branch.
Q: How do I connect to the library WIFI?
A: To find the Library's hot spots, click on your wireless icon in the taskbar. If no icon is present:
- Click Start, Settings, then Network Connections
- Right click Wireless Network Connection and then click View Available Wireless Networks (a list of wireless access points appears in the Available Networks box)
- Click the County Library WIFI network
- Click Connect
Q: How do I print at the library and how much does it cost?
A: You can print at the library by Accessing Wireless Printing or by using one of our computers, you can print your documents to one of our printers. You will need to preload money onto your library card to be able to complete this process. Please see your library staff for more details.
