Outdoor Adventure Kits

Monterey County Free Libraries has a Library of Things with a focus on enjoying the outdoors. These “Outdoor Adventure Kits” can be searched in the catalog under “outdoor adventure kits” or “library of things.”

• You must have an MCFL library card in good standing to borrow from the Library of Things.
• All items must be returned directly to Library staff during open hours.
• Most items check out for 21 days and are eligible for holds and renewals if no one else is waiting.
• Telescopes require a waiver for checkout and the library card holder must be age 18 or older.
• Replacement costs may apply if an item is lost or returned broken or missing parts.
