PRESIDENTS DAY OBSERVED: On Saturday, February 14, all Monterey County Free Libraries locations, including Seaside, will be closed in honor of President's Day.
The Administrative Office and Seaside Branch will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of the holiday. All locations will reopen on Tuesday, February 17.

Library of Things
MCFL has a Library of Things consisting of non-traditional items you can check out with your Library card. Peruse the categories below to see what items we have to offer.
Using the Library of Things:
- You must have an MCFL library card in good standing to borrow from the Library of Things.
- All items must be returned directly to Library staff during open hours.
- Most items check out for 21 days and are eligible for holds and renewals if no one else is waiting.
- Telescopes require a waiver for checkout and the library card holder must be age 18 or older.
- Replacement costs may apply if an item is lost or returned broken or missing parts.
