Description:  
  • Inland and Coastal Ordinances establishing regulations and process of vacation rental (previously referred to as short-term rental) uses in the County

 Current Status:  
  • The Board of Supervisors approved the final adoption to the Monterey County’s Local Coastal Plan to regulate vacation rentals in the Coastal Zone on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.  The Ordinance will become effective on October 24, 2025.
