• The County of Monterey (County) is embarking on an effort to develop its Community Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CCAAP) for 2030 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the targets set by the State of California. The CCAAP is identified by the County’s 2010 General Plan as a mitigation measure in the Final Environmental Impact Report and is intended to be an opportunity for robust stakeholder engagement amongst the various sectors of the county to select strategies that are the most cost-effective and beneficial for the County in meeting its emissions reduction targets.
