As part of our work at the Monterey County Health Department, we gather and receive personal information and health information about individuals. Safeguarding that information is not only our legal requirement, but part of our commitment to the core values of the Health Department : Health Equity, Integrity, Innovation, Respect, Excellence.
Please note that County of Monterey Health Department, Clinic Services collects patient’s mobile phone number(s) to communicate with patients via SMS and/or RCS text messages for purposes such as appointment reminders, care coordination, obtain feedback via surveys, notification of new healthcare services available at our clinics, or unexpected issues (such as, but not limited to, elevators not working, or providers being out of office). Your privacy is a priority. Mobile numbers will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We will not use mobile numbers for unrelated marketing without a patient’s express written consent. Patients are not required to opt in as a condition of receiving care. Participation is voluntary. However, opting out may prevent Clinic Services from sending patients timely updates regarding their care.
