Welcome to the Monterey County Behavioral Health provider directory site. This search tool will help you find a mental health or substance use provider within Monterey County who accepts Medi-Cal. Updates to our network provider database are generally added once a month. This information is also subject to change at any time. Please always contact the provider directly to check their status and availability.

Services may be delivered by an individual provider, or a team of providers, who is working under the direction of a licensed practitioner operating within their scope of practice. Only licensed, waiver, or registered mental heath providers and licensed substance use disorder services providers are listed on the Plan's provider directory.

A prior authorization or referral may be required to access some services. Even if a provider is listed here, it does not mean you are guaranteed services for benefits from that provider. Monterey County provider network is subject to ongoing changes.

 To understand your benefits, please review the beneficiary manuals below. This handbook tells you how to get Medi-Cal specialty mental health services through your county mental health plan. This handbook explains your benefits, how to get care, the problem resolution process, and your rights and responsibilities. It will also answer many of your questions.

 California law requires health plans to provide timely access to care. This means that there are limits on how long you have to wait to get health care appointments and telephone advice.

 Additionally, you are entitled to full and equal access to covered services under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
