The Cultural Committee of Monterey County Behavioral Health Bureau hosts conversations and information sessions for Monterey County Residents.

Functions
- Advise & Inform: Provide guidance to leadership and programs on culturally responsive, linguistically appropriate, and equitable behavioral health practices
- Policy & Practice Consultation: Consult on policies, procedures, and materials through a cultural humility, equity, and access lens
- Community & Staff Voice: Elevate staff and community perspectives, especially those from historically underserved populations, to inform service delivery
Goals

- Advance Health Equity: Address disparities in outcomes across race, ethnicity, language, culture, disability, and lived experience
- Strengthen Cultural Responsiveness: Promote services that are respectful, relevant, and responsive to the communities served
In-Person Meeting held every 3rd Thursday of the Month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and rotate on a quarterly basis. Meetings subjected to change and are based on the communities needs.
