CDPH Health Update: Ebola Disease Outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda Update 6/17/2026
No suspected, probable, or confirmed cases related to these outbreaks have been reported within the United States or California. Further, there are no returned travelers in California who are high-risk exposures. At this time, CDC and CDPH assess the immediate risk to the general US public as low.

CDPH Health Advisory - Outbreak of Infant Botulism Linked to Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula 6/17/2026
Three infants with laboratory confirmed infant botulism have been identified who had exposure to the same brand of powdered infant formula including one (1) in California, one (1) in Pennsylvania and one (1) in Washington.

CDPH Health Update: Increase in Introductions of Clade I Mpox and increases in Clade II Mpox Within California 6/12/2026
There has been an increase in travel-related introductions of clade I mpox into California & the U.S. in 2026 & clade II mpox cases have increased in California. Increases in clade I community transmission in Western Europe suggest that additional travel-related clade I mpox cases should be expected

CDPH Health Alert: Ebola Disease Outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda - May 20, 2026
Clinicians should suspect BVD in a patient who has traveled to DRC or Uganda in the last 21 days, AND who has compatible symptoms, AND has reported epidemiologically compatible risk factors within the 21 days before symptom onset.

CDC Health Advisory: Medetomidine in the U.S. Illegal Fentanyl Supply Increasing Risk for Overdose and Severe Withdrawal Syndrome - April 2, 2026
Medetomidine has been increasingly detected in law enforcement drug seizures, drug product and paraphernalia samples, and in wastewater samples, with the highest concentrations in the Northeastern region of the U.S.
