SALINAS, CA – Monterey County Elections will conduct the 1% Manual Tally for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election on the following schedule:
• Random selection of batches begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
• The 1% Manual Tally begins Thursday, November 13, 2025.

SALINAS, CA – Starting October 31, Monterey County voters will have expanded access to election services at the satellite Elections Office located at Embassy Suites, 1441 Canyon Del Rey Blvd., Seaside. Services available include in-person voting, mail ballot drop-off, and same-day voter registration-provisional voting.

SALINAS, CA – October 28th is the last day election offices will mail vote-by-mail ballots for the upcoming November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election. Any Monterey County voter who needs a replacement mail ballot can call (831) 796-1499 by the deadline to have one mailed directly. Early in-person voting locations are available for voter assistance.

SALINAS, CA – The November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election is here and this is what our voters should know to get vote ready. The combined Monterey County Elections Ballot and local Voter Information Pamphlet will begin mailing later this week. State Voter Information Guides are now in the mail and will continue to mail into next week. All active voters will receive a ballot in the mail and in-person voting options will be available.

SALINAS, CA – The United States Elections Assistance Commission (EAC) announced that the County of Monterey: Books and Ballots program was selected to be honored for excellence in election administration with a national Clearinghouse Award for Innovation and New Practices in Election Administration. Also known as the “Clearies,” the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) presents the awards program annually to celebrate the hard work of election offices across the country. Now in its ninth year, this year’s Clearie Awards honored programs that took place during the 2024 presidential election year.
