Future Voter Sticker Contest
Contest Guidelines
The Monterey County Elections Department is pleased to host a “Future Voter” sticker contest for students attending schools in our community. This contest is meant to encourage and promote both civic engagement and creativity among local youth. The winners will receive recognition from the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors and the Monterey County Elections Department. Additionally, winners will have their sticker design printed and made available at outreach events.
Two winners will be selected, one from each age category:

Kids aged 12 and under

Middle School and High School Students aged 13-18
Rules and Restrictions

You must incorporate the words “Future Voter” in your design.

The design must include at least 1 aspect that represents Monterey County. Please do not use landmarks that clearly represent other counties (i.e. the Golden Gate Bridge is San Francisco County, the Hollywood Sign is Los Angeles County, etc.)

Only students enrolled in Monterey County schools are eligible to participate in this contest. You must also fall into one of the two age categories to participate.

One submission per person. You may not collaborate with another artist.

Your work must be completely original.

The use of artificial intelligence, tracing, clip art, stock images, collages and intellectual property owned by a 3rd party are NOT allowed.

The design must be nonpartisan in nature and may not make political references. It must generally be appropriate for use by a local government office (profanity, violence, etc. are not acceptable elements).

All artists must complete a Permission and Consent form. Artists under 18 must have their parent/guardian complete the form.

Our office must receive your sticker design by May 1, 2026.
Traditional Artists
Your sticker design must fit within the circle provided on the design worksheet. Anything outside of the circle may be cut off. You may use any media of drawing as long as it does not violate any of the rules and restrictions.

Digital Artists
Your sticker must be drawn within a circle that has a 1.5-inch diameter using a minimum of 300 DPI. Digital files cannot exceed 25mb and must be sent as a PNG, JPG or PDF.
