The Clerk of the Board’s Office is responsible for the custody of official records for the County of Monterey. Our goal is to provide prompt access to public records. This Historical Records Home Page is an online tool to help you discover history of the County of Monterey’s governmental policies and decisions. The databases offered include indexes to the County’s legislative records.

These records come from a legacy application that the Clerk’s office used for many years prior to 2002. It was an index system intended to help look up documents when requested and was not intended to be comprehensive. While some records may be incomplete, we hope this page can assist the public in their research.
