Urban County Standing Committee
Committee Role and Responsibilities: The Urban County Standing Committee provides oversight for the Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The 2026-2028 Urban County is a consortium made up of the County of Monterey and cities of Gonzales, Greenfield, Marina, and Sand City. Cities have the option of joining or withdrawing from the consortium every three-years.
- Provide review and recommendations concerning the annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.
- Review and assess accomplishments of the Urban County’s CDBG accomplishments.
- Assess community development needs and suitability for CDBG funding.
