2026 Weekend/Holiday Quarantine Service schedule (PDF)

 

The Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office provides phytosanitary certification on most Saturdays and holidays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., except for a period between November 29, 2025, through April 11, 2026, due to limited demand. The table above indicates the holiday schedule, for calendar year 2026.

On any of the above working holidays, you must contact the inspector by calling the holiday quarantine phone at (831) 759-7355 between 8:00 a.m. and noon.
If the Inspector on duty does not answer, please leave a voicemail. Calls placed after noon will not be answered.
If you leave a voice-mail message, please speak clearly and leave:

• a contact name,
• company name,
• phone number,
• address
• and brief description of the service you are requesting.

Please note: If the phone does not go through it is your responsibility to have the phytos available in PCIT for the inspector to view.
If your phytos are in PCIT before noon the inspector on duty will be there before 5:00 p.m.

Reminder to all Taiwan, seed, and plant material phyto shippers: There are no inspections or phytosanitary reviews on holidays.
