Tax Help at Monterey County Free Libraries

Post Date:02/07/2026 4:30 PM

It's Tax Time - MCFL is here to Help!

During tax preparation season, MCFL is proud to offer many resources to assist you.

Through our partnerships with both the Alliance on Aging and United Way's VITA Tax Program, many libraries are used as sites for their free tax preparation services.  These great organizations recruit and train volunteers to assist with tax preparation, read about their services and options in communities throughout the County.

Finding, downloading, and printing the forms you need is another way MCFL is proud to help.  All our locations have free desktop computers and wireless Internet for searching the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board websites for forms and instructions.  Libraries may have forms to take, based on supply.  You can print at the library, and if you have W2s, receipts, or other documents you need copied or scanned, we can assist with that as well:
